About

Therese Rawsthorne's easy-chic label, know for its clean lines and unique details was created in 2006. Therese Rawsthorne's understated sophistication has garnered many fans for their versatility and nonchalant ease. Her fashion career began while studying at UTS, which then followed with a stint at working in London for labels such as Iseey Miyake and Oswald Boateng. [1] Therese returned to Australia in 2003 in order to set up her own label. [2]

The label was originally known as Youth World in 2005. However was relaunched in 2006 as Therese Rawsthorne due to a naming conflict. [3]

With a penchant for the natural fibres cotton, silk & wool, the focus is firmly on the fabric. Unique washed processes and both traditional & technological finishes are utilised in each collection including laser cutting, pintucking, yardage printing and hand embroidered garments.

The label is stocked in The Corner Shop, Bloodorange, Black Box & Creatures of Comfort. The label has gained fans from Australia to New York, LA, Auckland and London. [4]
