About

Sportsgirl is a major Australian retailer founded in 1948 in Melbourne by Wolf Bardos. Originally an offshoot of sibling label Sportcraft, Sportsgirl specialized in bringing the latest fashion trends from overseas, directed towards a younger, more fashion-conscious audience.

Today Sportsgirl is one of Australia's leading retailers, with more than 110 locations, online shopping available worldwide, the country’s first retail online community Sportsgirl Online, a mobile site, as well as holding fashion and related events in store and across Australia.

As well as monthly collections giving instant access to the latest trends, Sportsgirl produces capsule and vintage collections. As a supporter of emerging and established Australian design talent, Sportsgirl produces "Sportsgirls Like"[1] collaborations - past designers include Arnsdorf, Romance Was Born, Ellery, The Cassette Society, and an upcoming collection with Konstantina Mittas.

Sportsgirl is also committed to raising awareness on body image and eating disorders, partnering with The Butterfly Foundation [2] to produce an ongoing capsule collection to raise funds and promote support.
