Noir Nouvelle was created in September 2011 and is written by a Yorkshire lass who goes by the rather common and not so exciting name of Lauren (Thanks mum!). Originally, the blog was to showcase photography, design and recipes but it has since expanded and changed since then. Noir Nouvelle is now home to photographs of Lauren's personal style, photography, general musings on life and has since been nominated for a Cosmopolitan Magazine blog award under the category of 'Best New Fashion Blog' (her proudest accomplishment alongside being thanked by the Mental Health Foundation for this post, to date)
Noir Nouvelle features reviews of up and coming independent brands and is set to showcase the best of fashion illustration/photographers/web designers in the hopes of getting their name out there in the blogging community and raising awareness of humble projects in 2012 as well as continuing to document her personal style, life and posts on Mental Illness.
Lauren is about to set out on a new adventure in 2012, the new year will see her finally move out of her parent's home with her long-term boyfriend (perhaps renting, perhaps looking at a mortgage. How very interesting!~) and begin to live a healthier, more independent life. She is torn between two very different career choices (fashion journalism/mental health) and is currently trying to decide which college course to take come September 2012. Lauren enjoys working, cosy nights in with her boyfriend, spending time with her family, shopping, music festivals, web design and NOT writing about herself in third person when she's not concentrating on blogging.
