Hannah Murray is the British actress best known for playing "Cassie Ainsworth" in Skins [1], series one and two. [2] She was born in Bristol, United Kingdom on 1st July 1989.
Hannah was cast in the role of Cassie on her 17th birthday after attending several auditions in her hometown of Bristol, where the show is also set. [3]
Her character Cassie has become a style icon in her own right, which Hannah has been attributed to after admitting that the majority of "Cassie's" outfits are hers. [4] [5]
After playing the spacey teenager for two seasons, Hannah went on to make her West End debut in the play That Face in May 2008. [6]
She has most recently played a part in the movie Womb, with Eva Green and Chatroom with Imogen Poots, which is directed by Hideo Nakata, of The Ring fame. [7]
Hannah is currently studying english literature at Cambridge. She credits Franny and Zooey by J. D. Salinger as her favorite novel. [8]
