Inspiration myriad of experiences felt by the Inawaka-maru upon their arrival in Hawaii

About

The latest offering from DIAZ, Edo Tropicia, takes inspiration from the myriad of experiences felt by the Inawaka-maru upon their arrival in Hawaii. DIAZ interpreted the intense dream like state caused by the rich colours and new flavours surrounding them, combining their traditional Japanese life with the new experiences in Hawaii. Simple lines with relaxed silhouettes follow the body in a range of silks and organic cottons. The traditional Japanese style of the Kimono is used in contrast with the tropical pineapple print. Hand-stitched detailing and rope drawstrings finish the garments with pop of vivid colour. A jewellery collaboration with designer Holly Ryan completes the Edo Tropica look with delicate hand-made earrings and rings.
