About

Chanel is a Parisian fashion house founded by Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel in 1913 [1], specializing in luxury goods; clothing, hangbags, shoes, perfume, cosmetics etc. Coco Chanel was taught how to sew by her aunts, when she was a little girl. [2] Instead of taking to dolls like most little girls, Coco Chanel preferred to dress them in material she had taken from curtains.

Chanel is known for its tweed suits, quilted leather handbags and the first designer perfume. [3]
